A joint mega-foray of East meets West but partially subeverted into a corticioid rampage (with a minor in fungus related entomology)

Giant Funnel, Dalgety Bay, Sep 4th

Leucopaxillus giganteus, an amazing mushroom which has fruits to more than 30cm in diameter. About 100 fruit bodies in several rings in Ross Plantation, Dalgety Bay

Dalgety Bay Laboulbenia sp.

Found on the elytrae of a carabid beetle (as yet unidentified) was this lovely member of the Laboulbeniales (as yet unidentified). It may be Laboulbenia vulgaris.
